Canis Familiaris
Rping Data:
Weather Report:
It's finally spring and winter's bitter cold is finally gone. The days are midly warm, only about 50 degress or so. However, it's much nicer than the usual 10 to 20 like in the past month. Winds are calm and ususally almost nonexistant, and the sun shines almost constantly. Nights are cooler however, and feel more like winter time, so seeking shelter from the cold may be a good idea unless you want to wake up freezing cold and covered in the morning dew.

Plot:
Dark days have come to the canines of the land, their days of freedom are over...humans have come back to the lands and set up camp. And they don't look like they'll be leaving anytime soon. Horrible rumors are pouring out of the city streets from local canines, the humans are doing terrible experiments on the breeds to get them to turn against their own kind and leaving them with burdensome mutations. Humans are searching the woods for good candidates for the experiments and those who are to start the army of canines who will take over the woods, getting all to suffer under the reign of the humans. Is a whole land at stake? Will a war begin simply because of the greed of humans? Will you join and fight, or stay hidden out of the spotlight? Which side will you choose...choose wisely though. For it may be your last.

 The Laws
« Thread Started on Dec 22, 2006, 10:00pm »

All must follow this code of conduct;

1.) Respect must be given to those higher ranking than you

2.) Submissive acts are to be done to those of higher rank, unless intstructed not to

3.) You may not choose your rank, the alphas will observe and judge from there

4.) There may be pack hunts, but they can only be called by the betas or alphas

5.) You may hunt by yourself or in small groups, but you must bring back your findings to the alphas

6.) You MUST get permission to breed from the alphas. Only betas may breed without permission.

7.) Omegas are not allowed to breed

8.) Do not give out important information unless you completely trust your peer

9.) You may fight over rank positions

10.) You may NOT fight over mates, if you are challenged for your position while you have a mate, your mate may choose to move down the rank with you, or stay with the winner

11.) No fights to the death

12.) You may not have fight over food, it is unessecery because there is an eating order

13.) If you are caught spying or betraying the pack, you will be chased out or even killed

Ranks and jobs:

Alpha: The alpha is the overall leader of the pack. They make all important decisions and keep the pack status in order. Alphas call the hunts and occasionally have meetings to discuss important matters. You MUST be submissive to both alphas no matter your rank. Any backtalking or disobeying can lead to severe punishments.

Alphess: The alphess is usually the mate of the alpha, therefore they have the same job. They do have a little less power, but it is rarely shown. They may also call pack hunts and meetings occasionally, and make a lot of important decisions. You MUST be submissive to both alphas no matter your rank. Any backtalking or disobeying can lead to severe punishments.

Beta: The beta is the alphas righthand man. He can also make decisions regarding the pack, and also can call pack hunts. They may not call meetings, and instead inform the alpha of the problem. If anything happens to the alpha, the beta will take their place. You MUST be submissive to the betas aswell, only the alphas are superior over them. Any backtalking or disobeying can lead to severe punishments.

Betess: Usually the mate of the beta. She can also make decisions regarding the pack, and also can call pack hunts. They may not call meetings, and instead inform the alpha of the problem. You MUST be submissive to the betas aswell, only the alphas are superior over them. Any backtalking or disobeying can lead to severe punishments.

Heir: The heir of the alpha is simply a young one who will take over one day. If the heir does not want to take over or simply can't, the beta will take over. If the alpha dies and the heir is at a too young age to rule, the beta will rule in the time being. There isn't always an heir to the thrown, but most of the time it is the offspring of the alphas. They may watch over the pack and observe the alphas until they become old enough to rule and the alpha can't anymore.

Lead hunter(s): This position may be filled by one canine, or more. These canines are the leaders in both pack hunts and any other group hunts. They are rarely left out even when it comes to hunting in pairs of in groups of 3-4. They are mostly muscular and fast canines that can endure a hell of a lot of running. These canines are respected, but not nearly enough as the alphas and betas.

Lead warrior(s): This position may be filled by one canine, or more. The lead warrior(s) take the front in combat, and are the main fighters during wars and conflicts. They are also guards for the Scarlet Moonlight pack, and patrol the area by day. Each one is supposed to be confident and brave. They are to sniff out intruders and also find out if anyone is a spy. These canines can also protect the others from danger.

Scout(s): This position may be filled by one canine, or more. The scout(s) is/are mainly used as messengers and also as patrol guards. They mostly patrol alongside the warriors, but instead of protecting the pack and leaping into combat, they run back to alert the others. These canines are usually smaller, quicker, and lighter on their feet.

Spies: These canines are very important and serve a great purpose to the pack. They intrude the other pack's territory and spy/eavesdrop on them. This can be done casually, such as pretending to join, or sneakily, where they sneek into the territory unnoticed.

Pack members: Pack members mainly keep the whole clan balanced and take some jobs of the others. They aren't respected that much because they don't work as hard as the others. Most canines start out as pack members, unless directed in the beginning or request a certain rank.

Pup-sitter(s): This job will be taken by one or more patient canines. Their job is to obviously sit and watch over the pups. They are to guard them with tooth and claw, and protect them no matter what. They must be gentle and careful when taking care of the pups. This job is mostly done during a pack hunt and/or important or dangerous event.

Pups: The pups are simply the offspring of the other mates in the pack. They really have no job, and spend their time playing and exploring.

Omega(s): The omega(s) is/are the most disrespected and usually the weakest of the pack. They eat last and rarely spend time with the pack. The omega(s) is/are usually picked on, but can have the most fun of the pack. OMEGAS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MATE.

Will add more laws later, check back occasionally.
